In the style of Drew Cary’s “Whose Line is it Anyway”, Rule #1 Improvisation focuses on learning improvisation through the use of Improv Games and techniques.

This Improvisation workshop will focus on learning and implementing 10 Rules of Improv. While there are many more “Rules” and techniques we will focus on the 10 that transfer well to every day life skills – such as thinking on your feet and responding quickly to unexpected questions.  This is a great skill for all actors!

Welcome to Rule #1 Theatre!  I am Mrs. Harrison, Director of Rule #1 Theatre and Instructor here at Dramaversity!

Why Rule #1?  We have a set of rules in the our theatre company, and Rule #1 is “Don’t die”.

That’s literally and figuratively.

Don’t die during tech week by jumping off platforms or stepping on electrical wires or tripping over thing.

Don’t die on stage.  Be prepared.  Have a backup plan.  When in doubt, improv your way out!
