Londiwe Khawula

My journey in the performing arts began in school. I would audition and participate in any school production. I then decided that’s it! This is what I want to do for the rest of my life!

After high school I went to study a B.A degree at the University of KwaZulu Natal (Pietermaritzburg) where I majored in Theatre Performance and Media Studies. After my degree I went and studied further at the University of Pretoria where I obtained my Honours degree majoring in Drama and Film studies.

I decided my next adventure would begin in the South African arts industry where I was signed to a casting agency and I began my professional acting career. I worked in  Theatre in education productions, I was cast in advertisements and a South African film which was invited to the Toronto International Film Festival.

Through the ups and downs of being a professional artist it inspired what would be the next phase in my journey. Teaching! I am currently studying towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.

Using the life lessons, studies and professional experience I gained I would love to assist aspiring performers. I would like to help learners unlock their potential. My goal is encourage and help learners to be critical thinkers and tap into their inner creativity. With all the technology available today we have endless opportunities to create!
